My Edible Garden

I've been gardening for most of my life and have been a devoted fan of organic gardening the whole time. It just makes so much more sense to work in harmony with Mother Nature than to fight her. Besides which it is better for the planet and better for our bodies. Here you can see what I'm planting and harvesting, with gardening hints and resources thrown in for good measure.

10/ 29/19

This morning I cleaned a couple of pens and built another compost pile.

When I came home from work I realized that some things had frosted last night, like the squash in the compost piles.

Did I ever tell you I hate squirrels??

This Buttercup squash was wedged firmly between the boards on the pallet.

Reciprocating saw to the rescue.

Some Buttercup and Spaghetti squash.

It was nearly dark when I got done. There were a handful of large green tomatoes by the sunroots. I brought them in.

Hopefully these San Marzano tomatoes which I covered with frost cloth will make it.
