My Edible Garden

I've been gardening for most of my life and have been a devoted fan of organic gardening the whole time. It just makes so much more sense to work in harmony with Mother Nature than to fight her. Besides which it is better for the planet and better for our bodies. Here you can see what I'm planting and harvesting, with gardening hints and resources thrown in for good measure.

And that’s a Monday 11/4/19

Mmmmmm.  This volunteer zinnia was growing where 2 years ago the cucumbers died of root knot nematodes.  Perhaps zinnias are not susceptible to nematodes..... I don’t know.

 Time to clean up.

Getting ready for peas.

Fresh compost put down. I also added minerals and gypsum. I’ll plant peas tomorrow.

Mmmm. Droopy plants.  Dry soil. Time to water.

Giotto getting some live. Trying to get the kittens to play with him.

What do you mean I’m not supposed to be in the bed?
