My Edible Garden

I've been gardening for most of my life and have been a devoted fan of organic gardening the whole time. It just makes so much more sense to work in harmony with Mother Nature than to fight her. Besides which it is better for the planet and better for our bodies. Here you can see what I'm planting and harvesting, with gardening hints and resources thrown in for good measure.

7/11/18. Wednesday

The pretty geranium I bought yesterday. Humid and partly cloudy. Since it didn't really rain yesterday I'm mostly dragging hoses around today.

Sorry for the blur the wind was picking up. Onion seed heads which I clipped to save.

Ran some errands on my way to get lunch. Storm coming over the Pinal Mts. to the south. But no rain made it over here. Took my sister to the grocery store, came home and took a nap. Thunderstorms make me sleepy.

Edda is scared of loud noises and there has been a little thunder today. I went to put the waterer back in this pen and found she's crawled inside with the chickens. It's ok,  Edda, nothing's going to get you.

Pretty zinnia finally blooming. I was really late getting them in this year.

I have some cherry tomatoes this week. They have been super slow coming this year.

Well quite grumbling and get on with it!  Raining hard at mom's house but nothing at my place yet.

Oh come on Tink. You know you aren't supposed to be in the brooder house.

Well now for some dinner and off to bed.
